Mountain Helicopters Pvt. Ltd is the pioneering helicopter service company based in Kathmandu, Nepal and has been in operation since 2009. Mountain Helicopters operates with a well equipped fleet of aircrafts from the Ecureuil family namely AS 350 B2 (2003 model), AS 350 B3+ (2009 model) and AS 350 B3e (2012 model) which have all been manufactured by Eurocopter, France (a world wide leader in civil and military helicopters production). The Ecureuil is one of the most versatile helicopters in the world and has a fail safe design which ensures optimal safety and reliability to our customers.



Ecureuil AS 350 B2 (9N – AJJ )

The Multipurpose, single- engine AS350 B2 with a Turbomeca Arriel 1D1 turboshaft engine and has an outstanding proven track record. Its flexibility makes it a very sought after helicopter capable of performing a wide range of missions, including passenger transportation, aerial work, observation, fire fighting, tourist flights and furthermore, its wide cabin and panoramic view ensures optimum visibility for both passengers and crew.

Ecureuil AS 350 B3+ (9N – AJP)

The hot-and-high AS350 B3+ version—outfitted with a FADEC-equipped Turbomeca Arriel 2B1 – it retains the B2’s spacious cabin while boosted speed which adds extra lifting capability. The engine makes it perfectly suited for extreme operations conditions namely mountainous terrain and hot and dry areas. It broke records when a standard production AS350 B3+ aircraft landed on top of Mount Everest in 2005 (altitude: 29,029 ft/ 8,848 m). It is “the high performance” version of the single engine ECUREUIL range and beats every other single engine helicopter in its category.

Ecureuil AS 350 B3e (9N – AKB

From 2011 the AS350 B3’s capabilities were further enhanced through the AS350 B3e, equipped with the new Turbomeca Arriel 2D engine , next-generation dual digital engine control system (FADEC) and engine data recorder (EDR). Offering faster cruise speeds and improved tail rotor controls. The powerful, high performance AS350 B3e is designed to carry out the most demanding missions in the most extreme weather and geographical conditions. Its exceptional lifting capability, high endurance, extended range and fast cruise speed make the AS350 B3e the leader in its class.
